Fight Fire with Fire

pull off my Bluesky account

I’ve said it for a long LONG time- the Old School way of doing business is inherently lawless. These *thoughts* emerged during my days at Carleton U studying sociology under George Pollard.. we examined ad rules and practices and lemme tell you.. practice is far from close to rules!

And in it all, SEX SELLS!

Today, things haven’t changed much.. the rule book seems to have been thrown out entirely.. but the ruling parties are starting to see that you need to fight fire with fire..

This brings me to thoughts on environmentalism..
Just the word “environment” tends to put people to sleep.. so the hope of growth and advancement is slim at best. Think about a door to door canvasser.. (s)he knocks, you answer.. they say “lets chat about..” The Environment and.. you suddenly have a million things to do.

AI generated.. to be replaced by real capture shortly

What if the canvasser was a topless female?

Sure, that’s an extreme example but.. extreme examples make us examine our realities. And if the canvasser was a nubile topless teen female.. I’m sure the number of attentive home owners wouldd increase substantially. INCREDIBLY so.. and with far greater sucess at raising funds.  Makes one think..

I don’t have an issue with nudity.. tho I do recognize the power and ability it holds~ either fully *in your face* or hidden and “inferred at..” I am a fine art nude photographer with a sociological backing so I am only too well aware of the plethoric use of sex placed in innocuous locations.. placed outside of our conscious attention.. but NOT outside of our subconscious awareness and.. that’s the thing- ic e cubes would have naked femaless drawn in to them.. food would have lewdness embedded.. advertising pushed us to the point where we were hungry- not for FOOD but for more SEX!

Am I opposed to using bare breasts for growth? No. I won’t use it plethorically.. so, think of my attitude as “PG-13” (More than brief nudity will require at least a PG-13 rating, but such nudity in a PG-13 rated motion picture will not be sexually oriented).

Diet not diet

So, I’m on the road.. car camping and working on TheBoat.. and my departure was.. hurried. I had wanted to be on the road by noon.. 3pm came and went.. and I also wanted to reach Hinton before crashing (made it.. sadly).

So, while I have some of the items I need.. I’m sadly lacking in certain areas. One being some of my cooking apparatus. I’ve borrowed a cool two- burner propane stove and that’s a groovy thing to have.. but I have nothing to cook with. So, visited a local thrift shop (SUPPORT LOCAL, y’all!) and picked up a frying pan.

But I wanted pizza…

No sweat.. I just used one of my bowls as a lid to capture the heat and turn a frying pan in to a sort of oven.

There it is.. the element is set to really low as I wasn’t in a super huge rush to eat and I used a knife to vent- off and make it easier to lift the bowl.. it was an experiment.

Would I do this on the ocean? No way. My cooking set up will be FAR more systemized. Once the boat shell is built (save for certain parts of the sides) I’ll turn my attention to equipment, position, and stuff like that but right now I’m penciling in an “office- kitchen” area that sits just behind the captains chair and runs sideways there to.. in that space, I’ll be able to set up and cook for coffee, food, etc… and I’ll be able to open up the laptop and do some work. My music set up will be intermixed with the captains seat so I can compose as I pedal but when it comes to mixing, document design, photo editing- I prefer to do it on a desk type thing. We’ll see.

The result was pretty surprising. Sure, I added a bit too much oil to the pan to avoid sticking.. so the crust was almost deep fried.. next time, I think I’d start with a Naan instead of premade pizza shell.. and my own sauce. That’ll be a challenge for Next Time.

as you can see.. not bad. An experiment in car camping NOT an experiment for the ocean. But- experimenting with ideas for car camping does have theoretical play offs to The Journey.
