Why Sept. 15th?
While leaving in the fall isn’t an ideal seasonal choice, the chance of reaching Hawaii before inclement weather really kicks in is very realistic.. especially since I’ll be navigating through the Pacific High~ or, the Great pacific Garbage Patch that is a dead zone for sailers. 

Sept. 15th is~ also~ the day after my birthday.
Being home bound for August and early Sept. to celebrate my wife/ life partner and our daughters birthdays, respectively, is important to me. I’m a *family man* and I cherish my family, the time we spend together and being away from them for two years is going to be difficult. But, the cause is urgent!
